3M Tape Primer 94 (1/2 Pint) is an adhesion promoter that is specially designed to help 3M tapes stick and stay. 3M Tape Primer works on a variety of difficult surface including: polyethylene, polypropylene, ABS, PET/PBT blends, painted metal surfaces, metal, glass, wood, and concrete. This adhesion promoter ensure that 3M tapes stick anywhere.
Applications
- provide additional attachment strength to prevent flexible SNAD body found on rigid inflatable boats to uncurl off the surface
- provide additional strength with 3M wrap material in vinyl / vehicle wrap installations.
- provide increased adhesion on curved surfaces and recessed areas when wrapping vehicles.
3M Primer 94 instructions: Use in an open, well ventilated area, and be very careful with exposure to a heat source or open flames. Can be removed with isopropyl alcohol.
Step 1: Prepare the primer.
Step 2: Apply the primer to a clean, dry surface (simple "paint" the spot)
Step 3: Allow the primer to completely dry for 5 minutes
Step 4: Apply the 3M tape product. Use 3M Citrus Base cleaner to remove any remaining primer residue
Step 5: Allow 72 hours of dwell time before use.
